ok I am also disgusted by the things going on here lately. We have always had disagreements and heated discussions, but now it is just nasty ongoing bickering about nothing. I met someone with RA recently who I would have loved to have brought in here and introduced around and gotten her into a group where she could find friendship and support. But I was too embarrassed to even tell her about this site.
I do not fault Star at all for being here. He's reaching out for a connection and we should be glad to give it to him. When I read postings attacking him that was just unbelieveable. How hard and bitter can you be to go after a lonely, sick child - and feel good and righteous about it?
Star I do want to strongly urge you to stay out of the nasty, fighting threads. We will be happy to chat with you, and answer questions for you, or maybe you can answer a few for us too! But don't step into the manure, walk around it. It is the only thing you can do here these days.
And to everyone involved in the fighting I ask, just please stop. If someone attacks you or flings something your way, have the strength to ignore it and let it go. When you respond you are reducing yourselves to the same level. The only persons behavior you can control is your own.
Star, I typed search for jra boards and found this one, Its a good site that I have used for years (only the adaults site) It has a lot of information there and 12 year olds like yourself, One boy is worrying about being the only boy....lol. I went in for a few mins. The only problem is it is dull next to this one, they mainly talk about jra and living with it and side effects. The site is on the About.com:jra board. We would miss you, but you could talk to kids your own age and come back here and let us know how you are doing.

All I have to say is life is way to short for this kind of ugliness. There are people - people who have offered support and are strong members of our community - who desperately need support right now. It is pathetic to see their threads bumped back so far because someone has an agenda to get even, to throw stones or prove a point by bumping stupid threads.
You know who you are, we all do and we have no sympathy or respect for you. Grow a heart and see what difference it makes in your life when you reach out to others in need. Think before you post an inflammatory thread or apologize if you say something or do something inappropriate. It really is only 2 little words -
I'm sorry - and it takes nothing away from you or your character.
Maybe if those at one another's throats would swallow a little pride and even a little hurt, it would end some of this fighting. It takes a strong person to do this, but if you have RA, you are a strong person.
Please don't call me a peace angle, I am not one... I have RA and I need some support right now.

Seriously? You're telling other's they should be ashamed because they don't think a child should be exposed to the ugliness that's happening around here without their parents consent? No ones trying to chase the kid away....we've all grown rather fond of young Star; and we look at it and think about what we'd want for our own children. None of us would want a child of ours coming to a board like this and getting involved with the things that go on here. I for one feel no shame in that. If things were different here we'd fully encourage the kid to come and come often.
