How is Everyone Doing? | Arthritis Information

Just wanted to see how everyone was doing today. So how was your day? Anything special?

Me, I went swimming and now we are headed over in-laws for hot dog night.
Oh!  Swimming sounds so luscious!  My little pool is without water at the moment.  It is really just big enough to get in and cool down, but so nice on a day like today!  When we lived by the San Marcos, where the water is a constant 68 degrees, I would go swim every day and felt my stress roll on down the river.  It chilled me just enough to make the rest of the day comfy.
Its half way through July 4th here so a happy 4th to you!
Hotdogs huh Joonie? Sounds good to me! I am at work preparing for 2 functions tonight but there aint a hotdog in sight.

I would think you are tired joonie, since you live in AL and as of 2:00 AM my time you were still up arguing with me....isn't that 5:00 AM your time?

I bet your kids had to make their own breakfast this morning and take care of themselves because Mommy was sleeping because she spent all night and early morning on the computer.  How irresponsible! Just wanted to see how everyone was doing today. So how was your day? Anything special?

Mowed part of the yard and weeded the garden  a little..........Fireworks are tonight and tomorrow in my neck of the woods.  We are going tonight ) I do like to be in the water though.

Waddie...68 degrees? that's too cold!! Gotta be at least 78-80 degrees for me.

Lyndee...good luck with your two functions!

I'm not up to much right now...just trying to cope with a very sore shoulder...feels like it's broken.  But I'm looking forward to tomorrow.  My husband and I are taking Bailey to the zoo.  She loves animals and has only seen them in books so far...so I can just imagine how she'll be when she actually sees all the animals and able to feed some of them.
Enjoy the fireworks, Lynn!Have fun with Bailey Kel..how exciting to be that age , discovering all wonderful new things..but then again you get to discover them through her eyes which is better...x
Have fun with Bailey Kel..how exciting to be that age , discovering all wonderful new things..but then again you get to discover them through her eyes which is better...x
Well... you seemed to have forgotten... that my hubby was off work all this week. So... they got breakfast and lunch and they just ate dinner. How about that!

I was up at 10:32am and was out swimming in the pool a little after 11am. How bout them cookies?
Oh the pool does not seem to be bothering my joints like they did last year, but this summer has felt a lot hotter than it was last year. So... maybe the pool water is at a good temp for my joints. I have been swimming 3 times since the pool has been filled back up. That is probably way more times I went swimming than last year.

I have also been using my exercise ball. It is great fun. I think I enjoy that more than the swimming.
Quite busy - just got back from a road trip (more family drama...). Dreary weather lately here in the Chicago area - cool, wet, rainy... ICK! Hey Jas, was wondering how you were doing?  The family drama never seems to end for any of us.   Take care of yourself.

We went to our friend's vineyard for wine tasting and a bbq last night and then off to the wine tasting shop for more........I probably had a total of one glass of wine and it was so good.  Today is for relaxing and fireworks tonight.  Stan's going golfing but I'm not, too hot.

Joonie, glad to read your swimming and using the ball, good for you and please keep it up.  It can only help you.

Everyone have a wonderful 4th.  Lindy
Hope you all are enjoying your 4th of July holiday.  We celebrate Canada Day on the 1st.

I too just came back from a short trip to my sister's and had a great time but was so exhausted when I returned that I slept for two days.  We came back with a van full of goodies...fresh meat, fresh fruit, jams and best of all some white and red wine.  Along the way home we bought some fresh peaches and cream corn, cherries and raspberries.  I think that should last for awhile.

I went golfing yesterday and shot my best game so far this year.  Every joint in my body was aching so maybe that is the trick to a good game...feeling terrible.

Happy 4th everyone.  Pat
Aw Kel, that water is just the perfect temp!  Besides, when it is 100+ how can it not feel good!  Anyway, wish I was in there (or Joonie's pool) today!   Pat, happy belated Canada Day.  I missed it, sorry.  So happy that you could golf.  I golfed  three days ago and now my knee is swollen....but it's not going to stop me.  I'll just brace it.  I felt great while I was golfing but later was a different story.  The best thing is we keep going and just do it.  LindyBeen wondering where you were, Jas! Sorry to hear it was not another retreat to pamper yourself, but more family drama. I hope it gets better for you soon.
Been wondering where you were, Jas! No worries - it wasn't bad. Luckily they decided to fight in a resort town, and I got to chill and hang out with a few relatives I hadn't seen in a while.  All in all it was a good time, despite the drama that started it (a sibling rivalry battle that's been dragging on for 60+ years).  Luckily I do not work anymore, and my children are still on vacation at my sister's house, and I can afford to spend a few $$$ on an impromptu getaway, no matter the reason!
