first let me say that as a new member, i am really touched and impressed by the members here and in other arthritis communities and your care for one another. I have been prescribed Enbrel, but unfortunately, my insurance company denied coverage because my diagnosis code is "auto-immune condition", not specifically RA. i have tried many avenues for assistance, but neither the Enbrel manufacturer or any other group will help me with any assistance for Enbrel since my insurance company denied coverage, and because i do not fit other categories like 'low-income, uninsured", i have not been able to find any place to help.
since we are on a very tight budget and i do need the Enbrel, i am looking for creative ways to purchase it. i was able to buy a month's supply from someone whose prescription had changed. we took the same stryofoam box that we got the enbrel in from the pharmacy and went and picked it up. it was fine, and was a real help for us. if any of you are changing from Enbrel to another medication or have leftover, unexpired 25mg. kits because you are changing to the once-a-week dose, please post here and email me: lily105@aol.com . also, if you have any other ideas for me, i'd appreciate that so much.
