Ever been caught pondering what life is all about, why we are here, what lessons need to be learnt or as a teacher, teach...
We are both the student and teacher as we walk this life.

In this image of this young lady I see beauty that goes way beyond skin deep.
Siobhan is a very attractive young lady who's character traits of loving, caring, thoughtfulness, compassion and perhaps a wonder of what really lies behind humanities existence.
These are the things that I get when I view this image.

She is very beautiful, but it seems that she is in deep thought, perhaps about a lost love.  Kind of a sad look Stephen.  I can almost visualize tears welling up in her eyes.
I love what you quoted below:

We are both the student and teacher as we walk this life.  Amen Stephen, Amen.
Lovely girl. Have you seen the movie The Freedom Writers? It is a true story about a teacher and I suppose of her students also. I give it a thumbs up! Just to clarify, this is not an image that I have taken but one that i have worked on to show the originator a different crop and way of looking at it.
My thoughts have come while in a different world when creating this version.

Danny, the photographer is very enthusiastic toward his craft.

GG you are spot on with your thoughts toward this image, a lot of stories flow while viewing this image.

Milly, No I have not seen the movie.

Once, when we were dating, 40yrs ago, DH took a photo of me unawares. I had no makeup on, long hair was messily blowing, and I was wearing his sweatshirt way too big for me. On an overcast morning, I was sitting on a big rock on a beach in Carmel, Ca.  So, it was not a model's beauty pose, but is one of the best and most interesting photos of me. It makes one wonder what I was in such deep thought about. I don't remember.

unknowingly caught...........

the best photos are those candid shots of peoples caught unawares.

this is lovely, Stephen........  she's almost inspiring someone to paint.....she's so pretty.
Beautiful photo, and a gorgeous model. Very contemplative...I think she looks extremely disappointed in how something in her life has turned out.  That's what I see, not sadness, disappointment.  Wishing things had gone differently. You're right Karen...disappointment.The young man that took this shot  is very interested in the girl.
He was very greatfull for the work I did on it for him.
Pretty gal.  Pensive.
