How often do you see your RD? | Arthritis Information
That is the question!
well for the longest time it was every 2-3 months. Last time the gap was 5 months this time its 6 months..I'm stable but if anything changed I could get in fasterevery 3 monthsevery three months.
I think it's only due to the blood work. I see the doctor too; but it's basically just a how are you doing visit most of the time. All the meds have to be watched closely through blood work.
i go every 3-4 weeks lol
Every 6 months unless somethings wrong. Labs every 8 weeks. We came back from Mexico in April and I saw him in April, May and June because of having to stop meds and restart and issues associated with that and anemia. Lindy
Every spring and fall
Every 6 weeks...labs also every 6 weeks.Every four months for RD office visit, unless I'm having issues. Stop in at the local clinic for labs every 8 weeks.every 2-3 months... labwork every 2mo Every two months...... w/ labs..... rain or shine every 8 weeks
Right now twice a day...but in the normal (so to speak) game plan, every 6-12 weeks, or as needed.
Every 4 weeks because my symptoms are not under control. Hopefully if I can get a treatment plan working, it will be less often.Depends on how I'm doing. When I'm not doing well, it can be every month. If I'm doing well, about every 6 months.
Thanks for all your replies.
I have a kind of odd situation where I don't get appointments but supposedly a scheduler will call me within a few days of my next appointment which is usually 4 months.
Unfortunately the schedulers do not always call and I have to call them. That happened last time. I was in a bit of pain because I had been unable to take the MTX. I kind of assumed that I would get a quick appointment but was scheduled for 2 months later. Tcey did get a message to my RD and she called with refills and avice about what to do. I did get in a couple of weeks early because of a cancellation.
This time I decide to try a new approach and called 2 months early. Unfortunately the books are dclosed for August. I still don't have an appointment and they mentioned I was one of the leftovers, I loved that.
This is driving me a bit nuts. I have confidence in my doctor, we do not have a lot oF RD's in this area, but I really feel uncomfortable trying to manage to get an appointment for when she sugggested, which at this point is 4 months.
They are getting another RD and things should loosen up. I think I've made quite a pest of myself.
Thanks for letting me vent, I know only I can make a decision about this!
Well last year appointments were bad. There was a point I did not see RD for 6 months. Then I got hit by major flare in december last year and I am still not out of the woods yet. Now my RD makes sure that I have a appointment before i leave. I go for lab work now every 2 months.
Veenu, I hope you are better soon.
I have had success! I got an appointment for July 11th. Thar's a month early, but I haven't been able to take the methotrexate for 3 weeks so if I have any pain this will work out well. I'm sure they think I'm an incredible pest but I just don't feel comfortable not knowing when I will see the RD next!
I feel relieved! Thanks again for all the replies. It sounds like most of you have regularly scheduled appointments. I don't know if this will happen for me as this HMO uses schedulers for specialists. But at least I have an appointment for now. I don't belong to this HMO but was referred to this particular RD.
Thanks again.
Every two months.............
