I have to admit I was seriously considering NOT posting this thread...... There are several of you here who I consider friends who are having a VERY difficult time with your disease and related medical issues...

and I have resisted the urge to spread my good news because I would never want to be inconsiderate of all you are going through.... I care too much about how you are doing.
But,. I thought that I needed to give encouragement to those who are coming into this forum for answers.. those who are hesitant and suffering and needing answers and wanting to understand..

But last tuesday, my RD was extremely pleased with my disease presentation and how I was feeling....  I had two inflammed joints that he examined...(Hips not examined) no inflammation of my synovium in my knees, fingers, ankles, and only one toe and my right wrist were inflammed.  This is remarkably better than I was at any time during the last two years.... and even since starting enbrel!  I am making my rest/sleep a priority for myself as well.. I get my 9 every night and it is making a difference.....

Whatever I am doing, I was told to continue it!!

so...... the sun..... the meds....... the good nights' sleep.....the mild exercising...... laughter.... are all helpful, IMO getting me where I am now.......
I am very encouraged..and wanted to give encouragement to any of you who are beginning a regimen such as mine.. or another biologic or other DMARDs including AP............
I want YOU to be encouraged too..... I want you to have faith that your meds and you can work together to feel better....... that you can be improving and doing incedibly better at any given time........ even if you've been on your meds for a year as I was w/ enbrel....

I hope I stay this way or discover I am doing even better....... and BEST to all of you!

Keep up the good work!   Babs we always love good news. Especially when it is about you. Keep up the good work! When some of us are doing poorly and in the mist of medicine changes and what not, we are all the more wanting to hear what meds are working for others. How long have you been on Enbrel?Great news, babs!  I hope it continues for a long time!there is nothing that sounds any better than hearing how great someone is odong.  Keep it up and good luck.  Hugs and good vibes.I am SO glad you shared this with us. I just love good news, and anytime anyone can share good news about RA and/or any other autoimmune disease, the news is doubly good and triply appreciated.

Brava, Babs!

That's awesome, Babs! That is wonderful news, Babs!

Just remember... share your good progress with your RA, we all need the encouragement, that it does get better! Great news Babs!   Hope it continues for a long, long time.
Everyone needs encouragement and it's storys like yours that encourage us.  I bellowed from the roof tops when I was told I was in remission and kept bellowing for over a year.  It was VERY hard for me to admit that my doctor was wrong, I wasn't in remission but I felt that the forum deserved the truth.

Don't ever keep the good news to yourself, inquiring minds want to know!!!

I'm so happy that your meds are working and the remaining joints might get better over the next month or so.  I agree that rest is important.  I get my 9 every night and sometimes my siesta during the day.  Take care and don't leave us again for days at a time.  Lindy
Way to go Babs!  Thanks for sharing. I think this was well worth posting and good on you for feeling better..........

thanks to all.. It's cool, but a little scarey too....

Babs,
That is so cool.  Your great news gives us all hope that it can be done.  Enjoy your pain free days.

Keep up the great work and I hope you only continue to get better! :o)
Bump Superty duper!   sometimes  it does..... I've come a long long way in the last two years.........  from an inability to walk faster than a turtle...... to feeling almost normal.....
Hi Babs, fantastic news, I am so pleased for you, you deserve it, I will continue to keep you in my prayers, hugs Janie. janiefx12009-07-06 04:01:59Great news Babs, so I can say there is still hope for me.  Thank u for sharing the newsThanks Babs for telling us that we can get better.  I have been fighting a flare since January and some days I just want to give up.  Posts like this gives me the courage to face today![QUOTE=babs10]I have to admit I was seriously considering NOT posting this thread...... There are several of you here who I consider friends who are having a VERY difficult time with your disease and related medical issues...
