Update on pain relief | Arthritis Information

HI guys, today my RD secretary phoned me and said that my GP had spoken to my RD and really laid into him about getting me some adequate pain relief, she said her hands are tied at this point but he neds to help me out.

So, he has written to my pain management specialist (who I stopped seeing as he kept telling me 'at least you are walking, you have to learn to live with your pain"!!!!!!! ) I had already told one of his staff when he refused to help me as an inpatient before (offered me warm milk) I said, 'how about I kick you in the privates and you see how a warm glass of milk helps' ha ha I can laugh at it now.

Anyway this pain specialist has been asked by my RD to please deal with me for adequate pain relief while I am staying in the hospital grounds accompanying Liam for his 3 week inpatient stay and that I can use the hydrotherapy pool whenever I want to, he has sent my recent MRI scans stating erosions in feet, fractures in feet, all sorts of spinal probs at every level etc etc, so I am praying no.1 that I hear something soon and no.2 that whatever they offer is adequate, we shall see!!! Geez, he might have well handed you a bag of skittles!! People don't realize how agonizing the pain can be. I would have supported you 110% in the swift kick to the privates plan. ;)

Janie, I hope that this resolved quickly. There is just no need to suffer with pain when there there are all kinds of pain meds out there.
I am still chuckling about your comment to the Doc. I would love to have seen his face at that moment. LOL
