If you take them in the evening w/ a snack (like ice cream??
you really won't feel as bad.... you will sleep through all the yuckies..
AND... drink LOTS AND LOTS of water the days before and the day after taking MTX...
you won't get a headache that way....

and then i ate some cottage cheese, idk why but ive always really liked cottage cheese
yeah my doctor sayd to drink lots of water
but i find it hard to drink water, i never used to drink it before
really, i would go days without a single glass of water
but now i have a few everyday, at pill time
so maybe i should try to drink more water...
Well rest up for that birthday. Try to take it easy on the cake and ice cream. Hope your MTX helps. Do not ware yourself out to bad opening presants. LOLjust try taking them at night.... You'll not have the worst of the bad feelings!!yup, i cant wait for the cake, i like cake alot

Definitely taking it a night helps with the side effects. Also, you could always ask your RD about switching to injectable...especially if you're experiencing nausea.Star- sorry the MTX bothers you. My doctor put me on a low dose and then kept bringing it up when she found I tolerated it. I am very fortunate that it has never done anything but improve my condition. Well I shouldn't say that. It does make me feel tired and my brain is a little foggy the next day. However I have never felt ill.
I drink a 16 oz. bottle of water. Have breakfast about 1/2 hr. later and then take all my pills, MTX included with another 16 oz. bottle of water- on Wednesdays- just like you!
i used to have nausea, but not much now
id never ask for injectable mtx

i usually use an 8 oz. glass and i dont even fill it up all the way
but i dont drink much water with them
i hate wednesday's
i call it pill day
cuz every wednesday morning i take:
3 prednsione pills
6 mtx pills
1 folic acid pill
my alergy pill
and im supposed to take a calcium and vitamin D pill, but i avoid that one
and then i take another prednsione pill at night lol

Every day is a pill day though right? It's just that Wednesday has 6 extra pills!
Try drinking bottled water- it's easier to chug a lug it!
Or- when I used a cup I used to take one pill at a time with a gulp of water which made me drink more. I'm so sick of swallowing pills I just throw all 15 of them down my throat at once. That's Wednesday. All the other days there are just 7.

but the extra pills make it seem like alot more
ooh thats sorta what my grandpa does lol
he has to take like more than 10 pills every morning
so he throws them all in his mouth at the same time
and then drinks ALOT of water
yeah i like bottled water
but for me, when i drink it with pills, its harder to swallow them
so i just use a regular cup instead lol
I do the same thing as your Grandpa...they all go in at the same time with a big gulp of water.wait... what happens if u choke?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEKEND!
I was thinking about you this morning and was wondering what you had been up to. You hadn't been posting and I was hoping you were not sick. Mtx day for me is Friday so tomorrow is my day. It use to make me sick but now I do the shots and I rarely have any problems. Drinking water for me is a problem also. I don't like it by itself so I make Kool-aid and drink that. It helps but it sure doesn't take the place of a Coke... So we know about the cake but what about the birthday present? Anything special?
