Today I saw an author on The Bonny Hunt Show speaking about a book that she and her doctor have written together about chronic disease.  Her name is Alida Brill and she has had Lupus for most of her life.  She spoke candidly about the many years it took her to find a physician that didn't just ignore her and her symptoms, dismissing her as a hypochondriac or attention-seeker.  Then she met the doctor who is now her co-author, Michael D. Lockshin.  He speaks in the book about the physican's point of view in treating a patient with a chronic disease.

So I looked up the book on Amazon and it has wonderful reviews, and it occurred to me that some of you may have already read it, and I wondered what you thought about it?

The name of the book is:

Dancing at the River's Edge: A Patient and Her Doctor Negotiate Life with Chronic Illness

A list of her recent interviews, as well as a link to her homepage:

Thanks Hill...Bonnie Hunt will be on here in 45 minutes so will try to watch and hopefully hear what Ms. Brill has to say.  I am in the midst of some construction so am having a hard time hearing through all the noise.

Thanks again.

Pat
