orthotic insoles | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, my pain specialist had extensive training in podiatry, and said I need arch support, metatarsal bar and a deep heelcup, so today I took the request to my Podiatrist and she saw my MRI spine results and my feet X-Ray results and said normally with the back problems I have she would make a soft orthotic sole but after realising my feet problems, she said she had no choice but to make an orthotic that had full support around the whole foot, sturdy, with a deep heel cup and then the arch bar of course, she said I would need reevaluating every 12 mths due to my feet problems, she said they will not stay the same for long, I was pleased with the consult, she said I could buy a pair of Brooks trainers as they usually accommodate most of her clients orthoses, but I told her as I have to wear them all day and everywhere, I did not really want a trainer, so she recommended Dr somebody shoes, I don't think it was scholl?  Anyway I tried the shoe on only and it felt like cotton wool, bliss!!!!!  So in 3 weeks after Liams hospital trip, she said she will have them ready for me and wait for it - 0 for the orthotics and 7 for the shoes, still I don't mind as I definitely need something decent on my feet, I hope they do the trick!!!!!  Janie. My back issues were definitely better after I had custom orthotics made.  They're expensive, but worth it.  You also have to remember not to walk barefoot.  It's best

if you can pop into your orthotics right from bed, however.....that's a pain.  I ended
up getting some flip flops made from an orthotics company that has arch support.
They're wonderful
I hope the new orthotics help you, Janie!
