I have been on Orencia since Feb and have intermittent problems with fungal infections.  Since my last infusion last month it has been persistant.  I was suppose to have another infusion tomorrow.  I called my RA Dr and they cancelled my infusion and are sending me to an Infectious Disease specialist.  Has anyone else been referred to one and what should I expect?  I really really want this to go away but it kinda scares me.  Gracious! I sure haven't....but wish you well with your visit. I hope they can figure out what's going on.

Let us know how it goes.
best of luck to you.... I have no experiences to offer.. just wanted to send good luck and vibes for a good turn out.I had a severe fungal infection of my whole lower leg last year and once I was started on the proper meds it cleared up.  My problem was that 3 doctors misdiagnosed and was treating me for psoriasis!  I haven't had any problems since then.  Fungal infections and biologics can go hand in hand.  LindyLindy,
I have a rash starting across my stomach and I was wondering if that is what it was also.  I will make sure I mention it.   Thanks for the head up

No experience here either but wishing you the best of luck. Let us know what you find out.Went to Infectious Disease Dr this morning and he basically gave me a standing order for diflucan.  Just what I wanted, another med.  Ready to stop them all.Feel better. Sjorgrens kind of keeps me in the thrush zone. It is just part of I guess. No fun. Never thought of the Sjogrens aggrivating the situation too.  I didnt mention it to the infectious disease Dr.  ooops.  I called my RA today to schedule my next infusion and they wouldnt schedule it.  They said I should be off Orencia for a while even though ID Dr gave the go ahead.  UGH!!!
