Went to the Dr. on Wed for a routine visit and was pleased to tell her that I hadn't had a big flare up in two months. Then, by later in the day, I was throwing up w/ diarrhea. Either picked up a bug or ate something bad??? Don't know. All I do know is that my arthritis went OVER THE TOP for 36 hours -- I almost couldn't walk and had I not been throwing up, probably wouldn't have. The pain in my legs made me actually cry. Now it is 48 hours later, stomach settled, arthritis better, but I am so wiped I just want to sleep. I live alone w/ pets and need to do so much to catch up in caring for them and working -- this is too much. Has anyone had their arthritis flare up w/ a gastro event? I can't take pain meds with a bad stomach, and am hoping to go back to a good state asap. It is so frustrating to go from good shape to couchbound and incoherently ill for almost two full days...guess I just wanted to whine here and see if this is a normal ra reaction to being sick w/ a virus or food poisoning...thanks!
