OT - weird restless-legs type problem | Arthritis Information
I've never had a problem with restless-leg syndrome. Sure, once in a great while I get the creepy-crawlies in my legs, but it hasn't happened in years, and even then it was during a high-stress/bad diet period (2 babies, seriously ill husband and father, full-time job, etc). And even then it was a mild annoyance that didn't keep me from eventually falling asleep.
Well, tonight when I went to bed, I just couldn't get comfortable. Every time I thought I found a comfortable position, after a minute or so my hips had that creepy-crawly RLS feeling. Never had it in the hips before, and NEVER this severe. It was horrible! In addition to the need to toss and turn, my hips HURT - a burning pain deep inside. If I get up and walk around, or sit cross-legged on the bed (like now) they're fine. I just took a Lunesta and some tramadol; hopefully the sleep fairy will visit soon.that's very weird......
I've never had RLS symptoms in the hips either..
I struggled alot last night w/ sleeping... I blame the damn prednisone... but I'm almost off it for my pneumonia.....

kicked in? Jas, try taking calcium/magnesium supplement pills at bedtime. They resolved the issue for me, and they help you fall asleep also.

I think I'll give the Rolaids thing a try.....
my RLS has reduced quite a bit since my inflammation is more under control....
maybe the Rolaids would be just what I need to take the edge off!!
