I could go on all day about what a wonderful man my grandfather was. What a full and interesting life he had. In respect to privacy I will not. He was eighty seven. He never told the same story twice. I will miss him. My family will miss him. Sorry to hear of your loss and at the same age as my mother in law who passed last week.
It seems to be the year for passing's but I know they go to a better place where angles do dance and their very wish is but just a thought away.

My thoughts are with you in these emotional times.

Hugs to you Milly!  What a wonderful blessing to have had your grandfather so long, and for him to have been such a positive part of your life.  May your heart be filled with joy and celebration for the life he lived, pushing out the pain of his crossing.Sorry for your loss, Milly.

Hugs and condolences to you both, Milly and Stephen.  I'm sorry to hear this sad news.

sorry for ur loss, Milly

Stephen I am sorry to here about your loss. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I think that the hardest part was the dinner after the funeral. Everyone in the family was there. You can not help but think he would have enjoyed having his entire large family all in one room at the same time. It has been many years scince we have all been together at one time scince there are so many of us. Still it warmed my heart to be around my family.

Milly, I am so sorry for your loss!  Our grandparents are our link to our history, it seems.  It is the gift they give one with the stories of family and life in another time.  It sounds as though you were truly gifted by your grandfather and his stories, Milly.  As time passes and the pain ebbs to some degree, his stories will be your link to him and a way to forever keep him in not only your heart, but in the hearts of those you love.  And, I do believe, he did enjoy having his entire, large family all together!

Condolences, Milly, for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss, Milly.

much hugs.
