For all of you in the Blizzard Area, Pleeeeze-Pleeeeze do not go out and check how cold it is with your tongue.

All kidding aside...I hope everyone still has power...And is doing well. I remember living in Michigan, when they had bad weather...Sometimes it could be awfully scary, not to mention freezing cold inside, when we would loose power. So please everyone in that area. KEEP YOURSELVES SAFE.

Hi Waddles....I live in the Northeast, (Maine) and it is just starting to snow. It's 11:30 am. I don't think we will get as much snow as others on the East Coast. Time will tell and in the meantime I have made some soup which is always yummy on a cold day.

i'm kinda jealous! my hubbie and i are all set up for blizzards and we have had NO SNOW!!! i just love the snow and being snowed in. my hubbie drives a company truck, so when school is closed he is not to drive his truck. company policy. we have such a blast playing i the snow, keeping the fire stoked, drinking hot chocolate and making stew!! we have a generator (which we hook up to the frig so, my meds don't go bad.)and if, we keep the fire nice and hot it will heat the whole down stairs and we just keep the water running up stairs so, the pipes don't freeze. this year we have not had any snow and it has been atlease 5 years since we have had a blizzard.

So glad to hear that it hasn't gotten as bad as they thought might happen in your area, even though the plans you made hit bottom.

what snow????? I live in MI and there is no call for a blizzard in my area. We are having snow showers on and off all week, but no blizzard. What area of MI is suppose to get it?? the UP?

Please don't talk of touching your tongue to a metal pole in cold weather, my daughter did it when she was 4yrs old, while out with daddy. She got 14 stitches in her tongue!!!! meme

OMG is all I can say....

Waddles she doesn't even remember, thank goodness. I was traumatized for the 3 of us, but I was there for every stitch and every tear. You can't even tell where it happen the tongue heals quicker and better then any part of our body. meme
