OT: My daughter | Arthritis Information

As some of you may know... my daughter had a rough year last year in school. She went from straight A's to straight F's and was almost kicked out of her gifted class because of how her grades dropped.

Her teacher last year, had us do a behavorial test, because she thought daughter had ADHD. Her testing did not show that, but still we went and got her tested for it over the summer just to get her a clear bill of ADHD.

The Dr we took her to said she did not feel my daughter had ADHD or any other learning disability. She felt my daughter was just bored and not being challenged enough.

Today we went to daughters open house and met her homeroom teacher for this year. Come to find out my daughter has been put in a "Special" class for the smart kids in her grade, that will challenge them and help them not to be so bored. I was surprised that her teacher said they were doing that. I have been trying to tell her teachers of years past that she needed to be challenged. Only one of those teachers listened to me and actually done it.

So... hopefully this "special" class with all her other classes, and gifted class will keep her from getting bored like last year and she will keep her grades up and actually turn in her homework, do tests, and classwork.

Here's to hoping!
Hope that helps and her grades go back up!Maybe you should be a mom instead of sitting your ass on the computer all the f**kin' time!!!Yeah I hope it helps her too. She is one of those, that once she knows something, she does not care to learn it anymore and decides it is not worth her time.

She did bring up all of her grades to B's once I told her that if she did not do her work in class and do her tests, then she would be stuck with the same teacher and in the same grade with the same kids that pick on her.

So... she brought all the F's and one D's up to A & B's and one C. She had a really low grade in one subject she is not fond of. If it was not for that one C, she would have been on A/B honor roll.

She did, however, do a lot of reading last year. So that was a plus! I hope this year she can balance it all and look pass the kids that make fun of her because of how smart she is. I think the "Special" class that she is in now, with all the other smart kids, will help her to do better. there are no kids that will be jealous of how smart she is and call her names and make fun of her because of it, because they will all be smart kids.
