What we don't like is having people come to this board and "hawk their products. All people and companies who want to advertise their wares need to do so on the hompage and they need to PAY A FEE!!!!! This is what keeps this site going. We don't put down other forms of treatment for athritis because if you have bothered to read our other postings you would find that we know everyone is not able to get relief the convetional way. People find relief with the antibiotic way, magnets, diet, exercise, etc. So don't you come here and judge us because we don't want advertisement on our board, we are here to support each other. We may suggest to someone to check this out or that out, but we ARE NOT GOING TO LET PEOPLE HAWK THEIR ITEMS FOR FREE. It is not fair to the other advertisers who follow the rules. If you think we are mean so be it.

I'm with you sister!! I personally come here to talk with others on a regular basis that are dealing with the same challenages in life that I am. It's just not approprate for these people to come here and make one or two post just to peddle their products.
It's not nearly the same as one of our friends here sharing some interesting research that they think might be helpful to one of us.
It has nothing what so ever to do with what they are trying to sale...it's the way they are doing it that bothers us.
And Tracy M...considering that this was your first post as well I have to wonder who you are? And what's brought you here. Isn't it odd that you registered and posted the exact same day as the person you have suddenly become so defensive of? AnneHillebrand. Maybe you should understand a little more about what you are talking about before you start getting so defensive with one of our much loved members. We don't look too kindly on that sort of stuff here.
I can't speak for everyone...this is just MY opinion.
I went to Anne's website and didn't see where she was trying to promote any products, just share some information.Anybody that would take a decongestant and "fludan" as a cure for RA and or Fibro is really looney toons. I took entex la for years didn't stop me from getting RA, PA & Fibro.

It really is sad when people like that play on our illnesses, and then try and disguise it. I hate to say it, but when someone like this posts I always look for the motive behind it, And sadder yet is I always find the motive.

Its just a book, not a snake oil salesman. The author does have RA and wrote a very smart book.

We in no way mean to offend you...to be honest; we sort of get a kick out of those people. She never even came back to see our responses. It's a hit and run. People like this post a quick ad and then cruse the internet looking for other places to post. It's what they do. It's how they make money.
I'm sorry if this made you look at us in a poor light...but we all come here for the same reason; and really are not looking for a "cure" when we all know this isn't realistic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. These people get the forceful negative reaction from us because they are the stand-ins for all the idiots in our lives that offer all kinds of crazy unasked for advice to cure our arthritis. I don't care if they are selling it, or giving it away free. The people we can't yell at or punch in the mouth. If soaking white raisins in alcohol and then eating them, were a cure for RA, most of the people here would have been cured a long time ago.

Part of me felt badly that you misunderstood and the other part was a little shall we say, irritated. Why in the world you would think that my post was directed toward YOU is beyond anything I can possibly imagine. Just because I post after you, does NOT mean that my post is to you, directed toward you or has anything to do with you. I am a strong believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and was simply stating mine as you did your own. If I were posting to you, I simply would have addressed you as you did me with your last post and I am doing now. Quite frankly, I found your post to be uncalled for. Perhaps you should actually read the post before sending out the calvary for an attack. Have I been the only one on this subject to speak my mind? I think not. I am a very open minded person and do respect others opinions so for you to insult me by thrashing on how "I must be"...shame on you. I personally will speak my mind EVERY single time an Ad Monger or a Cure All comes onto the board with their ignorant claims of a cure. This will not change! BTW, I googled voodoo doll and there are virtual ones that you can use that actually make little pain sounds when you stick 'em with a pin. How sick is that!?

I for one have been on every drug out there and due to many health problems were unable to take them. My ra doctor is going to try the antibotic treatment on me. I was interested in reading what she had to say on the topic. I don't post much just enjoy reading all the info and kind words in here. If I have offended anyone I 'm sorry, just was totally surprised by the rage had never seen this in here. Peace & Love...Neasy Thought I would read some of the threads here. The one on methotrexate was interesting. But, this thread had some post that really made me laugh. The raisins and vodka thing I have tried, and it's still in my fridge and I need to throw it out. And the WD-40, I think I have heard of that one, too. To Juliahh, I am a born again Christian also. And I have been using alot of healing scriptures as of lately. Am finding that for me, that at this point, I am having good days and bad days, the same as if I were on meds.
