Hi All,

I wanted to thank you all for your well wishes and let you know that I have my pt appointment this afternoon.  My husband took me to a cabin in the Shenandoah mountains that had a hot tub on the deck.  I think that helped me tons.  The swelling is down some on my ankles.  My toes are still numb but we'll see what they say at physical therapy.  My boss had the audacity to call me at dinner time yesterday (Sunday) just to tell me they are turning off my blackberry...oh boy, spare me.  Now I can't do any work while I'm out on disability leave.  I am thinking he is punishing me.  Let him have at it LOL.

Hope you are all well.  My computer is acting up somewhat but I will be checking back periodically.  Again, thanks for your support!  HG
Oh that cabin sounds so nice, HK!!
Glad the swelling has gone done a bit.
No work while on leave??? Oh dearI am jealous of your hot tub vacation!  I am so glad you got to enjoy it and hopefully in the coming days you will find more relief from it and the PT.

As for the blackberry, who needs it while on disablity-oh wait a minute-it might have come in handy for office gossip!

Take care and let us know how PT goes!
Glad you rested. As for the Blackberry I hoped you thanked him for relieving you of the stress of maybe checking it while you are trying to get yourself well. The jerk!Yeah, wanttobe, he is a jerk.  He'll discover and learn that he does not know what he does not know.  He thinks he can handle it all...time will tell.

I mean c'mon, like my not seeing my work emails and doing all that work from bed is gonna kill me....NOT!

Thanks for the support everyone

Hi! What a wonderful get-a-way gift. Maybe we can convince you beloved and 'beloving' spouse to give a workshop on how to pamper wives!

Keep on getting better. cheers, Shug
You know I just thought of something HG. My boss- who is still a jerk in every sense of the word- gained new respect for me while I was out on medical leave for 3 months. He got a taste of just how much I am responsible for and what it takes to get my job done because the responsibility fell on him. No one else could take over my duties.
He still has his moments (he is a nasty old codger) but I have to say it is a lot better.
However- if you have the opportunity not to return and to start somewhere fresh- I would recommend it whole heartedly. One day when the economy is better I hope to do the same for myself....
For now, relax and get well.
Thanks Shug, Snow Owl and Wanttobe.  I am going to take that advice and relax.  Getting the phone turned off was the best thing for me.  I went to physical therapy and it seems that there is damage in my ankle joint from ra and it is further complicated by a degeneration of my achilles tendon.  They gave me a bunch of exercises to do and man was my muscles tired.  They said I was lucky I didn't rupture the tendon.  I am told if it doesn't improve I can wear oe of those very attractive boots,  Wow, what style LOL.  Again, thank you for all the support and let's all get better together!  HG
