Hi Lis,
I'm fairly new to the board too but have already found the people here extremely helpful.
I just started on Enbrel....had my 2nd injection this past weekend. How long were you on it before it stopped being effective? I've heard that from several people actually. I felt better 2 days after my 1st injection, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Take care and keep us posted.
Ivan
Hey Liz, I am the headache girl - in more ways than one
We have a lot in common - I also do not tolerate mtx well - only 5 mg. a week and allergic to sulfas.
I like you already. You seem JUST FABULOUS. Well I took the Humira, and it hardly hurt
hiya
I'm quite new too everyone here is so helpful.
I hope your new medicine is the one. I'm due to start enbrel in a few weeks and i'm glad it worked for you i'm kinda worried about it but as more people tell me give it ago i'm kinda more clam about it.
I can't tolerate MTX or Sulpaha and i took an alergic reation to remcide and ended up in hospital. I hope this one is ok.
Good Luck Yes, Humira is only 2x a month. I was on the 25 enbrel forever, where you mix it yourself and take it twice a week. Then, I switched to the 50 enbrel and it hurt too much, so back to the 25. But then I would take them both at the same time. This is much better. No mixing!
welcome pdxliz!
i'm new here also & yes, everyone here is super helpful & nice.
i'm new to humira also, about 2 mo's, and i was injecting it in my thigh where it hurt too much, so the awesome people here suggested it be done in my abdomen & it was fine.
i use humira every 2 weeks also.
so glad it works for you! let's hope it continues!
HI there, Liz.

Good luck with it!!!!!!!
Welcome aboard!!
