OT Mesothelioma | Arthritis Information

 

Hi, my Dad had surgery to find out why he was having Fluid around his lungs, and they think he may have this. :-( he is 79yrs young... great health otherwise..I'm really upset with this DX.. does anyone know anything about this cancer??? Thanks..Is this the one associated with asbestos? Yes that is the one... he worked in a printing factory for over 30yrs. they are still waiting for more lab work but everything I read on it sounds like that's what he has.I'm so sorry to hear that. All I know is I always see lawyer commercials on tv for it-if you have been exposed to asbestos and have mesotheolioma you could be entitled to .....
Hope it just sounds like it and turns out to be something easily taken care of. Keep us posted.

Thank you all I appreciate the support.Hey Jan....just wanted to let you know I'll be praying for some conclusive answers for your dad, and that treatment will be started ASAP.  Please keep us updated.  I'll be looking for your posts.I hope the right DX comes quickly and you can work toward relieving his symptomsPrayers and best wishes to you and your father.  I hope it turns out to be something easily treated and not too serious.I don't know too much about it, but you'll be in my thoughts. :) I send my best wishes for a 'soonest' resolution to your father's diagnosis and treatment.  As other have said, I don't know anything about the condition, but hold you and your family in my thoughts.  I know very little about the disease but I hope that he gets a definitive diagnosis soon and can start treatment as soon as possible.  Keep us posted.  LindyThanks again everyone, he came home from the hospital today will see him tom.... he was a very healthy 79yr worked partime and even was on a bowling league! I read this condition can be in your system for 30yrs or more! mostly affecting 60-70yrs old...
