Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Bracelets! | Arthritis Information

Hi Everybody,

I've been viewing this site for years but I am new to the message boards.  I have been searching for RA Awareness bracelets for a while now (I see all kinds of other causes, so I figure why not ours?  Awareness could help us out a great deal) and I couldn't find them anywhere, even on the vast world wide web.  While searching, I learned that the official awareness colors for RA are blue and purple together (blue represents arthritis in general).  So to make a long story short I decided to have them custom-made.  They are 100% silicone, half blue and half purple, and have the words "Rheumatoid Arthritis" embossed on the blue side.  Now my family, friends and I wear them in support of me, my sister and my 5-year old neice and all of you out there who are also hoping desperately for a cure.
And since this is something I was looking for, I thought others might be interested as well.  I ordered a bunch (in children's, medium and large sizes) and I figure if there is interest out there, I could sell them for each and donate from each sale to the Arthritis Foundation.  Does anybody thing there might be interest out there?  Thank you.
Sounds like a great idea. I was looking for an RA awareness ribbon myself. Do you have any pictures you could share?Yes, if you have pictures please post them so we  can see.  Hi Jennifer, great idea, bring it on!!!!  Hugs Janie.

I would be interested too!

Yup, me too! I would be VERY interested. I have a large family. They all wanted joined me when I did the AF 5k. They don't have one in Phoenix anymore and I bet you a lot of them would love to have one. Please post info...I looked on the internet and there is one beautiful one on there but it is .00!!!!  We have a cool bead store in our city, so I'm going to make one of my own.  I'll post it when I get done.  It will be a few days, hopefully this weekend.

LyndeeNZ2009-08-24 01:08:56I too have searched and have been unable to find any.  Everyone at my work said they would wear one if I got some.  I have been wearing ones I snitched off my daughter that she got from gumball machines, I picked ones with supportive words like, Never give up and Survivor. Have had alot of questions about those.  Cant wait to get one of these, I will shoot you an email.  Thank you,  Linda

I love this one!  It is a little too expensive for my blood, but I really like it.
