I thought so... | Arthritis Information

As i was getting out of the shower today i got a glimps of myself in the mirror. Sure seemed as if i had some extra curves in my hip region. My face seemed a bit puffier. Maybe just the pred catching up to me. Sure seemed like a big difference from the girl in the mirror yesterday.

I went for my walk and capped it off with some Gatoraid. My feet and ankles were the first thing to bother me. I thought why would swollen hips make my feet hurt?

I have been so greatful this past week as my pain has been mostly of the upper body and though unpleasant I could deal with it.

My old friend is back with a vengence. My ischial tuberosity started throbbing. I thought wow no wonder i have been thankful i totally forgot. Seems i did not miss this throbbing pain that i have put up with for years. So how exhausting the pain started shooting into my groin. I sware it makes my feet hurt more also. I guess alot of muscles attach in that area so wow it hurts a bunch.

Well for now i took my pain pill a bit early. It is almost impossible to keep wieght off of your ischial region. Standing sitting and even lieing down. I want some morphine and emergency surgery or something. I will call PT Monday and see if they still do ultra sound treatments, that is if i live threw the weekend. I hate when problems come about on a Friday afternoon.

This is just above my tolerable pain level. I can not even breath properly. It is instantly exhausting. Oh and my jaws hurts so maybe not the pred after all.
My deepest sympathy; I am so sorry you are feeling so poorly and are in so much pain.

To better days for you, Shug

Hey Milly.  I had to look up ischial tuberosity, I never heard it before.  I hope you can get a good night's sleep tonight, and that you'll feel better tomorrow.

Much hugs.
I was sort of freaking out because i had all of these strange neurological problems going on. It occured to me finally that i must have hyperventelated while i was waiting for the pain meds to kick in. My toes were numb and cold. I turned off the air hours ago. Pins and needles and some burning sensations. Some where between googleing symtoms and ending up at Guian Barre it felt like i was being given injections into my groin area. This is wierd but much less painful than the shooting pains i was having earlier.

I did this six years ago when i was in really bad pain. I remember reading about Guian Barre then also. I wonder if hyperventalting makes your brain swell? The light is bugging me. Guess i will google that. Anyway now it just feels like my skin is burning and i am being stuck by pins so a little better but hard to sleep it is sort of annoying.
I hope you get some sleep soon.

Feel better soon.
No chance of that. I am taking Leviquin it keeps me awake. I think i will go to the eroom tomorrow. I mean i am used to the ischial tuburosity pain. I guess when your hips and general region are swollen you can get alot of stuff bothering you. I have a hardness in my lower left abdoman now. Feels like a vien or a tube maybe? Like a stiff tendon would feel. So I will feel better if i get it checked out. The sharpest of pains feels like it is coming from the ishial into the groin but it is not a normal thing. Usually the pain stays just in the ishial area and not shoot out into my groin area.

Well i would let you know how it pans out but unless they put me in the hospital and i can use my laptop I will not be online, my family does not have internet. I am planning on staying with family for a week or so. My left hip area is swollen really bad in front and back just a large area of pain at this point and i can not tell where it is all coming from. The right side is swollen but not hurting so bad.
Poor girl-hope you find some relief.

If you are still hyperventilating-you need to get the checked out.  That is what landed me in the hospital in July.  Never done that before to that degree.  It can get to a point where everything feels numb(you mentioned that).  Careful-I got to a point where I couldn't move-at all. Very embarrasseing being physically moved for the CT scan.  Anyway-things escalate quickly.  I am not experienced in your other symptoms-but they sound miserable.

Let us know when you can how things are going....
