Is osteopenia and osteoporsis a diagnosis by theirselves? Like when you answer a medical form that asks you to list all of your illnesses, do you put down osteopenia? Yes Joonie, it is the precursor to Osteoporosis, they diagnosed me with it in my hands and feet, and with Osteoporotic tablets for 2 years, I reversed some of it which is fantastic news but unfortunately some of it had progressed and thats why I get all the stress fractures in my feet. You should definitely declare it as your bones are well on their way to being brittle and you should be taking a bisphosphinate like I was and still am, (also it may make a GP or another Dr adjust a medication they were going to give you, there are a lot of meds that can affect our bones.)Regards Janie.
