Anyone on this panel use the Hyaluronan Injections - Joint Fluid Therapy to help eliviate knee pain? If so how long did it last?I have no personal experience, however I have a neighbor who has had both his ankles treated...IIRC three injections over a three week period of time. This was done early in the year and he hasn't limped or used a cane since.

Are you considering the therapy? Do a search of Synvisc. I _think_ that LinB has mentioned it at least a couple of times.

Good luck, Shug
Hi Ladybug, Have had both knees injected with Synvisc.  I don't need to have L. knee injected any longer because I had a TKR but am still having the R. one done.  In fact I'm having the 1 shot Synvisc injected tomorrow.  The one shot has been on the market for about 6 months.  Much easier than being injected for 3 consecutive weeks.  I've used Synvisc about 3 years and I LOVE it.  Lubricates the joint well for about 5 months.  Great treatment.  LindyThanks everyone for the information.  I will ask my RA doc when I see her next.  A RA doc is the one who can do this right?  Or is it a Knee doctor?  I hope it works.  I'm trying to hold off on a right knee replacement.  I had my left knee replaced in 2003.  Thanks again.
