Ok so today I was going to take DH's laundry to
the cleaners when I noticed several fire trucks parked in front of the
bank. Well, one of the firetrucks was parked on the right side of the
road, and I had to pass him (they were flushing lines, no emergency
here). I slowed down VERY slow and started to pass him. Well there was
a fireman on the left side of the road in the field and as I got about
half way past the firetruck, it decides to start moving. So I stop, no
big deal(even though I would assume the guy could see me and probably
could have waited for me to pass, but oh well) The fireman standing on
the left side of the road starts yelling at me (after I had already
stopped) pointing at his eyes, yelling at me to Watch where I was
going, and to slow down. Are you kidding me? I am already stopped at
this point and was going NO more than 15 mph while trying to pass in
the first place! I looked at him very strangely and the guy actually
BOWED up at me like he was going to march over to my car and whip me?
Seriously?
Wouldn't you know it, when I pulled up at the cleaners, there was the
Fire Marshal. I got out, tears and all (the man had just embarrassed me
in front of about 12 firemen for no reason) and told the Fire Marshal
all about it. He felt really bad and probably thought I was menopausal
by crying, but I don't care. Wow, what a day!
Schell, wow, too bad you found yourself in such an embarrassing situation. My dearly departed Dad used to tell me that sh*t happens in life the important thing to remember is to carefully and thoroughly clear my shoes before entering the house. Such sh*t belongs outside.
I hope your today is better than your yesterday and send you my best wishes for clean shoes!
