OMG It is snowing, hailing, raining and thunder&lightening too, here in MI!!!! My county is under an ice storm warning until after midnight, with a winter storm warning on top of it. We haven't had much of a winter but it is making up for it now. If you need to find me, I will be in bed with the heating mattress pad on and drinking a nice big cup of Ghiradella hot cocoa with marshmellow creme and whip cream. brrrrr

OH GOODNESS...not the ice storms. I think those are the worst conditions anyone has to deal with in the winter. I have been in some really wicked ones in Michigan, when I lived there. Almost next to impossible to walk outside not alone to be able to open your doors that had frozen shut, to even get out side to walk. I pray that you and your families will be safe and not left with out warmth or food. If not to late and the weather still allows you to go out, please make sure you get everything you need to keep yourselves safe. Been there so many times...I will never forget the fear that use to cover my whole body, when they said we where in for ICE STORMS. Please keep yourselves safe and if you do not have to go out....DON"T... even if having to go to work. Saying prayers for you all and will try to keep my fingers crossed for you all. But I want snow! I am not liking our weather here at all....I am in Virginia and it is getting darn cold. They say we will be getting about an 1" of snow...whoopie...but it will be just enough to make everyone crazy and start driving like "driver ed students"
I don't like cold weather...I am moving in with anyone who has the most hot chocolate stash and of course a mattress like merry's son has...

Waddles, I love Virginia. What part do you live in? We live in NW PA. It was 6 above this A.M. The wind chill is what is bad as it has been real windy. We're having a heat wave now. It's 10 above now Brrrrrrrrrrr! My feet legs up to my knees are hurting today. I think it's from sleeping with my toes pointed. Every A.M. my feet hurt. I think I'm going to try splints that keep your feet up like the shape of an L. This weather doesn't help. Have a good day in Virginia
Hi Pat52 BRRRRRRRRRR is right. Norfolk ( Hampton Roads) Good God, I feel for you. My hands are now working in slow motion, not like they where that fast to begin with. And oh oh...the toes are numb and I am inside my house. I can feel the air flowing out through the wall sockets. by the chimney. HAVING a HEAT WAVE...that song is rumbling in my ears...Right now we are at a rather COLD 36 degree's and plunging. I hate cold weather
I was born in Philly and I still remember those Philly winters as well as those Detroit winters...That's why I stayed here in Virignia...we have very moderate winters but since having RA I am thinking I am going to have to move further south. I am thinking about asking the RA doctor for some night hand splints. I can not for the life of me, ever think I could make myself use the feet splints... Bless your heart and Thumbs up
Try to stay warm during your tropical heat wave and add another log to the fire place while you are at it. waddles Waddles where are you in Virginia, I'm going to virginia this summer to see my husband's nephew, he is stationed at Norfolk. He lives off base with his wife and daughter and wants us to come visit before they get transfered again. Be glad it is that warm there. Here in MI my temp is 10 with a windchill of 20 below. Tonight we are going to 10 below with windchill of 30 to 40 below. I worked today and was out on the forklift, I got such a brain freeze from the wind blowing against my forehead.
Believe me meme...I am very thankful that we did not get the ice/snow storms that all the people on the east coast and midwest are going through. I also am very thankful that there are warm places for everyone to go to if it gets that bad. I lived 4 days with out heat in one of our very few ice storms and I know for a fact I would never be able to do that again, nor do I want to. SO... my heart goes out to anyone who maybe faced with that situation. You said you are out in the bad weather, May I ask what you do, that makes you, to have to be out in the horrible weather? I still remember the brain freezes...I don't think it is possible to ever forget them no mater how bad our memory may get. They are GOD AWFUL. Everyone keep warm!!!! Pat I am what is called a dsd receiver I take care of all the food vendors that come to my store I help unload and load trucks with the forklift, I supervise the activities in my receiving area during the day. I have 4 bays and one main floor overhead entrance to my area and this can cause the temp in my area of the building to be the same as it is outside regardless if I have all 3 space heaters running full blast. I do some work outside with the forklift when needed like taking bales of cardboard out, piles of empty pallets, so forth and so on. i start at 5am and am done at 2pm. My days are not boring and they go by fast. It is alot better on my body then working 3rd shift stocking the store, I enjoy my job, I just hate it when an invoice figures don't jell and I got to figure out where the problem is, sometimes it is easy to find. other times it takes forever. I have alot of other things I have to do, but I wouldn't trade it for the world, unless I won the lotto
What I could do with that money, I could go and visit every single one of you and take you to dinner, wouldn't that be great!!!
