Lately I've been feeling very feverish yet when I take my temp it is only 97.something or other...

Does that ever happen to you?  Blame RA or something else?
I blame those feverish episodes on my age compounded by the weather--it is very humid in the High Mountain Desert right now as the outer fringes of Hurricane Jimena sweep through the valley.

Be sure to mention that feverishness to all your physicians.
Could be age (like Shug said) or just the weather.  I have problems with severe night chills after Humira, just the opposite of you.   I'd talk with my doctors about it if it's happening on a routine basis.  LindyIt's not like what I've heard a hot flash to be if that's what you mean by age related. It's like when you have a sickness and you feel blah and your face feels warm to the touch and you kind of feel chilly....
Weather here has been early fall like...
yeah..I get that feeling sometimes. I got it all the time before starting mtx and enbrel. My temp would only be 96 or 97, but I'd also have chills.... that was frustrating. I sometimes wonder if I'm even capable of running a fever with all the NSAIDS I've been on for the last several years.

hope you feel better soon! [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]It's not like what I've heard a hot flash to be if that's what you mean by age related. It's like when you have a sickness and you feel blah and your face feels warm to the touch and you kind of feel chilly....

Nope, not hormonal hot flashes, I am far removed from that stage. Many woman in their 60's describe feeling feverish and having difficulty finding a comfortable environmental temperature. While this too is hormonal, it is different than menopausal hot flashes and it can be physically draining.

However, what you describe needs to be evaluated by a physician.
My normal temperature runs around 97.5.  About every 10-15 days, I'll actually get a "fever" of 100-101 degrees.  The only part that feels warm is my head, and my teeth chatter uncontrollably.  I've mentioned it to doctors, and they just write it in my chart.
