OT: im lucky | Arthritis Information

so last night, i was talking to a girl on yahoo messanger

and i was thinkin how lucky i am

see, the girl has JRA (i think she's 15 yearz old) wah
and she was tellin me why she hadnt been online for a  while

so, her JRA's been bad lately, and she's had to get ready for school, which starts tommorow for her

she told me how this is the first time in 3 years that she could go to school
and that she can only go 3 days a week, and only half a day

so i was thinkin how much that sucks for her
and how lucky i am that my JRA isnt too bad

she was sayin that she hurts 24/7 all the time
and i was thinking WOW
if i hurt all the time, id be irratible and rude, but she's super nice

idk how she does it, BUT just gotta say she's truely AMAZING (as much as a kid w/ JRA can be)

I'm so glad  you found someone closer to your own age, that you can relate to.  Life isn't fair, children shouldn't be sick.....
I know how hard it was for me as an adult.  We have to take what life gives us and do the best we can with it.  Not easy.  It dosen't get much better, but we learn to live with it.  We can only hope that meds work and we can have a few years we can get out and live in the fast lane.....Take care and have fun, enjoy life, you nnever know whats going to happen tomorrow.

I bet she is as pleased to meet you as you are meeting her.  It always helps to have someone to talk to who really understands.I'm glad you found someone your own age to share your troubles with too. There is nothing like finding someone who understands you.

oh maybe u ppl didnt kno (u probably didnt)

we actually started talking a few months ago
but she doesnt get on her computer much
last time we had talked before this time, was prior to my b-day (so like 2 months ago)

yeah i guess its nice that i get to complain to her, BUT it feels weird complaining to her since she's WAY worse off than me. but, idk who else to talk to sometimes, so its nice i guess
It's not that you are complaining Star- you are commiserating. I'm sure you listen and try to help her deal with what she is going through as well. Sometimes it does help to know that there are people worse off then we are. It helps us become grateful for the little things we can enjoy.
