i just moved to pacific northwest and i find that every little storm front coming in has an effect on how much pain i have.  is arizona helpful?  i know weather probably should not have an effect on this type of arthritis, but for me it does....... i thought maybe i should try a short term somewhere in arizona to see if there was relief from this rollercoaster affect.Arizona is a beautiful state, IF you enjoy deserts. However, even Arizona has weather that changes abruptly, and sometimes violently. Right now it is monsoon season here and while the thunder and lightening storms are spectacular the sudden drops in temperature, with the rise in humidity can be agony for those who are affected by the weather. Like you, the weather does play its own tunes within my joints and all too often those tunes become dirges.

It has been my experience that the rollercoaster aspects of autoimmune dysfunctions continues it relentless up and down and the curves and inclines remain just as jarring and hair-raising coast to coast, border to border.

However! the one big advantage the much of Arizona enjoys is no snow to shovel. Although Northern AZ does capture a deep snow pack most winters.

Yuma is probably the most weather-consistent part of the state, but the summer temperatures are too much even for me, an old desert rat.

Best wishes for a pain free day. Shug
thanks for the arizona update.  i know someone who goes to yuma, so i thought maybe if i can find some company to go with me,  i might like the winter diversion, i enjoy walking and it is a must for my body, so i dream of walking in the dry when the wet season hits w. wa.
