Hi! I'm new to this forum. I'm in my mid 40's, was diagnosed with RA in 1996. I'm still trying to come to terms with it. Yeah, I know 13 years later and I'm still not dealing well with it. Part of the problem is the husband. HE isn't dealing with it at all. He still expects me to be able to do everything I did before I was diagnosed. He has his moments, like building a ramp instead of steps but he won't accept the fact that I have to do things differently or not at all. I'm not asking for special treatment, just support and understanding. Anyhow, I have a 20 yr old son who just got married and a 17 yr old daughter heading off to college soon. As you can see from my username, I'm a knitter. Totally addicted. Not that great at it but I can hold my own. I hope this forum will help me come to terms with this disease and deal with it.
