I have both RA and fibro. How can you tell which is causing your symptoms? I don't know if this is a fibro flare, RA flare or both? I know (from having a massage) that every one of the fibro points on my body hurts. I have been extremely fatigued for quite awhile, feel just generally "unwell" all the time, low-grade fevers sporadically, icky/nauseaous feeling, pain in all joints, but most severe and constant is in my hands! How do you know if it's due to the RA or the fibro? I too have both and when I have pain in my hands and feet I know it my arthritis, if my muscles are bad it's my fibro but it's definetly possible to have a flare of both.It is a difficult task that is for certain. I guess through the years and after many Dr. appts. you just learn which one is which....doesn;t matter, you need treated for both and it is typically the same treatment.
