When u find out, please let me know  lol!  I am taking mtx and Arava, and they both tend to make me lose hair, and shed some of my eyelashes and eyebrows      Hope other folk here have some tips for us both.

I have heard that MTX cvauses hair lost and akso SulfasalazineOh SnowOwl thank you so much for posting, I'm dealing with this heartbreak now on top of everything else!  I started Biotin but not near the level you are on, I'll up it immediately.

I also recently read in a magazine at a doctor's office - sorry can't quote - that deficiencies in Selenium and Zinc can lead to hair loss.  I plan to add both to my supplement regimine.

My hairdresser recommended an expensive system called "Nioxin."  So far it isn't really helping.  She assured me it would help with regrowth, but the literature is all geared toward making what hair you have look fatter.
I agree Biotin was a savior for me. It worked great! [QUOTE=Green~Tara]Oh SnowOwl thank you so much for posting, I'm dealing with this heartbreak now on top of everything else!  I started Biotin but not near the level you are on, I'll up it immediately. when I started loosing.. I went very short too... it's alot less noticeable that way...

I started the biotin mega doses.... and now, I feel confident letting my hair grow back a bit..

I've been on MTX for two years.
My dermatologist said the only thing on the market that actually works for some people is Rogaine or the generic of it. I get the generic at Walmart - I think it's about or for about a three month supply. It does seem to have slowed down my hair loss and may have even started more growing in. My hairdresser said it doesn't seem as thin as it was a few months ago. I'm not on MTX or others that say it causes hair loss but it's thinning from something.
