Hello everyone. im firestarter2007 and iv had RA for about 19 years. I was diagnosed when i was a little over two years old. i just turned 21, im engaged to a wonderful girl named Angel. i like cars, (mostly imports but i respect domestics), tattoos, piercings, music, and movies. When i was 17 i quit taking my meds and going to the doctor because i thought i was invincible, but now that im older and hopefully a little wiser i relize that wasnt the best choice.

the reason i joined here is because for the past year or so iv been having pain, and stiffness mostly in my legs due to my RA. i want to kno what others are doing to relieve the pain they experiance and to learn more about RA. Knowledge is power so im hoping you guys can help.

Hello and welcome to Arthritis Insight. Pain seems to be an inevitable part of RA. The various medication therapies are meant to reduce inflammation and the pain and stiffness it causes. Sometimes "tweaking" the regime positively affects both pain and stiffness. Additionally, physical therapy can strengthen the supportive muscles and teach us new ways to use our extremities to minimize pain and/or stiffness.

Have you discussed your pain and stiffness with your physician? That would be the place to start, seems to me.

I look forward to getting to know you. Cheers. Shug
