GCA biopsy ? | Arthritis Information

Hello all,

I saw my surgeon who performed my TA biopsy and the result has come back ...
inconclusive, not positive! He said as I have been on Pred for so long , maybe this has been of help. Not sure what all this means for now.
Have an incision about 1" long with 4 sutures and in there for 12/14 days.  "Takes longer to heal when on Pred"  After the 2nd day not too sore. I washed my hair today, day 5, now I feel better...
I see my rheumy next month. Whatever happens I will be grateful he  'made me do it !because I had a mark on my leg that I also had removed while I was asleep and it came back ... some other name.... that meant pre melanoma.
Have 6 sutures in this for 2.5 weeks. I  had showed my Dr  who advised me it should come off so when the TA biopsy came up, do this too please.  I possibly would have put off having anything done for a few more months at least!! I have had 3 small BC off and this one looked different but I though, not as bad! I will not think again, I will do!
We are going for a caravan holiday tomorrow , for about 10 days.
Hugs to all, Lyn
