All I know for certain is that I have had arthritis for a year.

My ANA came back positive July 2008.  But, I have never been positive for Rheumatoid factor.  And, I have been tested several times.  I tried Plaquenil, and it caused an increase in migraines.

I have been on methotrexate since February 2009.  It first helped, but now my arthritis has gotten worse.

My husband and I went to Canada in August, and my joints hurt so bad the entire trip.  My knees, my hands, and my shoulders.

My rheumatologist wanted to start me on Enbrel, but I had a brain MRI that showed abnormalities that could put me at risk for MS (but most likely the abnormalities are from the severe migraines I have.)  Either way my rheumatologist won't put me on any Anti-TNF therapy.

I am on 15 mg of prednisone daily, and it helps, but I can't stay on that.

I think they are probably going to put me on Orencia.

All my doctors can go on is my symptoms and very few test results.

I look at my hands and my knuckles are visibly swollen.  I am 28 years old and my knees crack.  This world of seronegative RA is confusing.  My doctors have tossed around other diagnosis like Lupus, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and with my abnormal brain MRI (now), I may be at risk for MS (but we still think that is slim.)

I don't want to post too much.  But, this is depressing.  I need drugs that work, and I need my life back.  This has affected my work and my marriage.  It's overwhelming and scary.
