Katie in reference to your quote:  I haven't had a nasty flare since my jaw last fall,
Did it effect your hearing at all?  My jaw has been swollen for some time now and I am blaming RA because my dental xray did not show any problems with my teeth.
Begging for info!

Hugs~~~~

My hearing has been affected by the jaw inflamation.

A traditional dental xray will not highlight jaw problems.  You will need to see an oral surgeon to get more indepth studies done.
Sinus problems can also masquerade as jaw problems.

Not all that aches is RA.
Rocky, did your jaw eventually get better and did your hearing improve?  Was it caused by RA?
And Jas, I do have sinus problems.
Jaw is not improving.  My dr. referred me down to Duke Medical to get a second opinion.  Most definitely caused by RA.  My surgeon went in Feb. and cleaned out the damaged areas and removed the diseased tissues.  He said there was extensive damage caused by the RA.  Right now I am limited to 22mm(two fingers widths).Good grief rebecca! How do you eat?
I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that. The pain is for sure different than toothache! I hope you are able to get some nutritious foods in you! Take care. [QUOTE=rocckyd]My hearing has been affected by the jaw inflamation.
