HI guys, have not filled you in for a while so will try to do that now, it will be rather long, I apologise in advance!  It sure has been a non-stop rollercoaster ride and I keep trying to focus on the positives rather than the negatives. I send you my very best wishes for moments of pure pleasure, hours of tranquility, days of comfort, and months of peace. Shug

I hope all works out with your injections. You at least sound to be on top of everything. I hope that all of you will get your health problems under control and resolved so that you can get some rest. Prayers for all of you.

Janie,

Thanks for the update.  I'm sorry to hear that you are still struggling but very moved by your strength.  We have many members on here who are very, very strong and gives me such inspiration.

Phats

Hi Janie.
As I am new to this forum, I don't know  about the lives of people here, so please forgive my ignorance about you and your family. My heart goes out to you as I have had health issues also with a child: nowhere as much of a struggle as you've had, but gee it's been tough!
My daughter was 6 years old when she came down with what was diagnosed as German Measles, this was despite being immunised against it. This passed, but her fatique never did. I went from doctor to doctor...got no satisfaction.
She attempted to go to school, she loves school , but was unable to last a full day.
As I've had Chronic Fatique Syndrome along with multiple chemical sensitivites for years before getting RA, I decided to withdraw her from school in order to recover fully without the stress and frustration involved in constantly being exhausted from school.
The headmaster told me she should be in school, laying on a beanbag. I told her that she( the headmistress) wouldn't like to be sick laying on a beanbag in front of 20 people looking at her...I was clearly getting frustrated by this lack of diagnosis and the attitude of some people.
I did home school, off and on for 5 years. She is now at school 3-4 days each week in a school that listened to me and agreed that we would work in partnership for the benefit of Ellie and relieve the stress on me too. The good news is she has not suffered from being at home, and they say her general knowledge is very advanced and she is up to date or above in all subjects.
Eventually Ellie was diagnosed as a Coeliac and with a gluten free diet she has improved greatly. She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia eventually also, she still gets very tired and aches a lot, but is a very happy young lady.
It's still a battle at times, but like you I believe in the power of prayer and know I've been carried by it and God's wonderful grace.
Take heart, you like nobody knows your child.
You are not going around the twist, you are going through a very difficult time, that will pass.

Take care

Thanks Shug, Milly and Phats, your words are comforting and empowering, I really appreciate your input and support, thanks again, and hope all is going ok for you, God Bless you all.

Hi Mish, welcome to AI, you will find lots of support here and feel right at home when reading posts that you can relate to, you will make many friends too.  Thankyou so much for taking the time to tell me your story, it made so much sense to me, I am going through a lot of the same issues/feelings with Liam, its great to see that we are not alone even though some other poor soul has to go through hell as well, thankyou again and I will keep you and Ellie in my prayers, much hugs and appreciation, Janie.   Janie; I'm sorry to hear of all the struggles in your family. I will keep you all in my prayers.Sorry to hear it's still such a struggle. You and your family are always in my prayers.Hi Janie,

I'm so sorry you're family is struggling with so much!  I hope for you and your family that the tests done on your husband will come back ok, that your pain will start to decrease, and that Liam will start to somehow feel better. Its so hard when you see your own children going through so much and I'm sure takes all the strength you have...and some you don't,  to keep going for them on top of trying to take care of yourself. Being someone who has been batteling anxiety issues for several months now, it's frustrating when the doctors answers to anything you see him for is anxiety. But keep pushing, keep seeing different doctors if need be , there has to be an answer somewhere for you. And maybe he has developed some anxiety over all this, but if you truly believe it's more than that, then keep pressing on, you'll find the answers. Don't give up...things have to get better! with each doctor visit and different things you try...there will be more answers for Liam. I'm sending you and your family good wishes!
