I am not doing to bad. I am about tired of having the flu already. LOL I took out the trash. I do not have much strength at all. I barely got the bags out to the curb. Then I could not get the door knob to turn to let myself back into the house. Well I finally did but it took alot of effort. At first i thought I had locked myself out. Then I realised that my body just wasn't working very well.

We are expecting five inches of rain tomorrow. I do not know what is up but the RA is acting up as well as all of the aches and pains associated with the flu. I am feelling it in my chest tonight. I still have two days of ABX left. I will call the doctor tomorrow.

My little nephew says it is the Swine Flu. He hopped on my lap last night and his elbows were very hot. He said well thats what it feels like to me.

I can not blame the kids for giving it to me as we came down with it at the same time. Well the baby does not have it yet but I am afraid she will get it also. I hope it does not hit her to hard. She will be eleven months old in a week.
Awwww  go to the dr tomorrow for the anti virl they can give..

feel  better soon.
MILLY, I hope you feel better quickly and get your strength back!  Just think every day you're closer to feeling better. I hope too that the baby does not catch it. It's hard when you have little kids that are sick. You want to take care of them and cuddle them to make them feel better, then you end up with it.Oh thanks. For the most part I am really bored. The fever and lack of strength are putting a cramp on my lifestyle. LOL Just gets boreing laying around feelling yucky. I did call the doctor today but have not yet gotten to the drug store. Guess I ran out of gusto somewhere in the middle of the process.

I do worry about the little ones.

((((Milly)))) Hope tomorrow brings you more strength and gusto.  Take it easy, that's the best medicine, except maybe chicken soup.Well I think I will have some homemade chicken soup tomorrow. What a wonderful Idea. I have been pondering what kind of meat to thaw out. Too many good choices.

I always get crazy hungry when I have the flu. My first symtom is always eating everything in sight. Then the next day I will notice the fever. This time was no different. I did a midnight run to the grocier for junk food and more junk food before noticing I had the fever. I guess fevers make me hungry. So that starve a fever thing will get you nowhere with me.

The medicine thing was for my sinuses. Sometimes ten days just does not do the trick for my sinuses. Trying to kick the dreaded ear infection. Allergy season and the flu are both rather hard on the upper resperatory system. I have had an incredable amount of drainage going on. So I am going to stay on the abx until my ear stops hurting.
Milly, I am sorry the flu has hit you all so hard!  How is the baby?  Has she gotten sick?  Chicken soup sounds like a good choice to me, do you have someone to make it or will you have to do that yourself?  I hope you have someone to wait on you a bit while you are healing.  Has the flu aggravated your RA?

I will be thinking of you and the kiddos!  I'm a hummmin' for you all and wishing a speedy return to good health soon!  Enjoy your soup!

HI Milly, my mum always said, 'starve a cold and feed a fever" no I reckon I have got that the wrong way around, lol janie.XX Milly,

Sorry to hear about your flu. You probably mentioned it in another thread but i missed it. What RA drugs have you been taking? Did you get a flu shot? Sorry you have the flu but I feel better knowing that someone taking immune suppressing drugs is pulling through it. I am somewhat concerned about the flu myself and for my 88 year old mom. It's good to know that you aren't so sick that you don't have your apppetite. Seems like looking forward to cooking chicken soup means that maybe the worst is over? Good wishes.

Hi Milly... Funny, I am similar to you in that. My appetite hardly ever gets affected when I am sick and I also crave weird things when I starting getting sick... Feel better soon and I hope your little one doesn't catch it...

My wonderful Mom made the chickensoup. It was absolutely the best chickensoup i have ever had. Last month my sister was in a chicken and noodles mood the same time as my mother and me. She deciced to have Mom make hers. Long story I will not get into but I was sent to the store for the noodles. I was given specific instructions from my sister which ones to buy. She told me to buy the wrong ones. So we got it right this time. LOL

I told her that it was LinB's idea. LOL Actually I had asked her what she wanted me to thaw out and she said whatever. I asked my son he said whatever. LinB was the only person that was working with me on the menu.

I feel better but I slept all day. All of this rain. It is supposed to stop finally in an hour and three minutes. It has been raining alot for a long time so at this point I am doing the count down. The grandkids did not come this weekend because they did not want to catch the flu. Then all of this rain I got worried about them as they are near the river.

The kids. My five year old niece had a trip to the ER. She has bronchitis which she just got over. I am beginning to worry about her. She first developed bronchitis when she was on abx for a sinus infection. It got really bad and they put her on stronger abx. I wonder if she has seasonal allergies? We have been using the nebuliser on her also. Still had that laying around from last year when the baby had RSV.

The baby started sneezing. She gets choked up and makes a pig sound when clearing her throat. Then just starts laughing because it sounds so funny. This kid has a great immune system usually. Her older syblings have been sick scince school started but so far she has been the only one that has not needed abx. She did get RSV last year other wise has been doing pretty good so far. I do expect her to feel worse tomorrow.

I am not sure if this thing is over or just changing. I am very gassy today. More sleepy than hungry. The sleepy could be the RA. I do not think that my RA is happy about the flu. I am having trouble standing for very long today. My legs hurt.
