I had some made a few years back...can't remember how much I paid for them though.

I found that wearing them for too long actually made my wrists feel worse.  It was suggested to me to wear them while sleeping.  When I woke up my wrists were so stiff and sore.  What I do now is if my wrists are sore and I need to do any housework etc..then I'll wear them then, but then take them off after.

But give them a try...they might be what you need and work for you...everyone's different.

It depends. Wearing them at night is very good, make sure you don't have them on too tight.  I have had to wear splints both for my wrists and then eventually thumb splints.  I found they do help, but don't wear them all the time. Now with the thumb splints I was given lidoderm patches that you cut and fit to the affected area of pain then you put the splints over them.  The patches could be worn up to 12 hrs. then you go 12 hrs without them .. They were a great companion to the splints and made my hands and thumbs feel better. So I am another one who wears them at night, my previous job at work I would wear 1 splint during the shift on the hand that felt the worse, to help keep it from getting worse.  It does take time to get use to the splints, so give yourself some time to get use to them.  Hope this helps and let us know what happens.  meme
