I have finally received my disability. I thought I would share the news. It took a while but I am considered disabled. Isnt that terrible to be happy about that?

Hi KK, we can't help how we are, so feel happy, you are only doing what you have to, well done, it can be a big hurdle to get over, good luck from Janie. I think my reaction was Great I'm approved for disability...damm the govt thinks I'm disabled"  It was definitly a case of mixed emotionsi know exactly how you feel. I'm sure you are filled with mixed emotions. The relief of less strained finances or pressure to perform in ways you cannot mixed with the sadness of the confirmation of being disabled.  Just remember there is a lot you still can do! This just takes the pressure off to do these things every day. I wish you all the best.Hi Kknots, it is good to hear from you.  I, too, know how you feel - I felt guilty even!  I was depressed for a bit too just thinking that I was now labeled disabled.  Don't let it get you down though, it is nice to have the aid and does take some stress of having RA away, as well as helping with the medical bills.

I hope this helps make your life easier and I am glad you no longer have the stress of fighting to get this bit of help.  Take care and all good things to you!
