Medical hair loss - Rogaine experiences? | Arthritis Information

I know there are a lot of hair loss topics but well - that's what we deal with, between our immune systems and the meds.

Long story short, I'm about ready to try Rogaine for Women and am curious as to any real life experiences with it.  I started the 5,000 Biotin recommended here and am still having significant hair droppage.  In fact I noticed that of the hairs falling, they don't even have the little white bulb at the end, the follicle?  Just a slight bump. That's scary!  thanks for any feedback.
I've been using the generic of Rogaine for Women for several months on the advice of a dermatologist. He said it is the only OTC product that has been shown to be effective. I get the generic at Walmart for about for a three-month supply. The brand name is about three times that I think and they are exactly the same. My hair still falls out but seems less than when it first started. My hairdresser is sure it is from the meds but we don't know which one. Someone recently on one of the forums said Plaquenil is known to cause it and I'm on that. Good luck! Thanks. Well it looks like I have nothing to lose for trying except more money and more hair.  Even a decrease in droppage would help.  Green, yes, it is aldactone that is offering promise against hairloss. Please research this online to find out more. good luck
