Bone like lumps | Arthritis Information

Does anyone have these? They are right above my outside wrist bone on the sides of my hands. The right side lump is bigger than the left side.  I used to think it was swelling but it feels really hard and sore when I press on them. Rheumatoid arthritis nodules? I have similar "lumps" on my hands/wrists and feet/ankles. I don't know...I thought nodules were small. This are about the size and roundness of a quarter I just googled rheumatoid nodules and saw some very scary pictures.  Maybe this is just a hard swell? I have an RD appt. in a couple of weeks- I'll have him take a look.
I don't know...I thought nodules were small. This are about the size and roundness of a quarter
I have one on my left wrist about the size of half a ping-pong ball that has been diagnosed as a RA nodule by biopsy. Sorry I stuck my response in here before someone with more experience did so... WTBRAF ..I have them too on my wrist, quite large boney area that hurts...My left one is larger than the right, my RD said it was RA nodules. It could be a "panus," a large swelling of synovial tissue filled with antibodies.  I had a huge one removed from my right wrist when the Darrach's procedure was done.  It looked like  half a tennis ball on my ulna.  A panus is sort of like a remote war center - think of the Pentagon as the immune system sending the mixed up self-destruct orders, and the panus as a general's tent out in the field ordering the local troops around.  At least that was my lay person's understanding of it at the time I was researching it in 2001, and my RD concurred that was a good analogy.get thee to thine RD!!
