I am new on message boards | Arthritis Information

I am new to message boards so I hope I am doing this right. Please forgive me if I totally mess up. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, this has caused me to take early retirement , although reading through the other messages I am not as bad as some.

I just wanted to say hello and if I can help anyone I will do so. I have had RA for 37 years mildly then a huge flare up left me unable to function properly.
I am taking enbrel which has been wonderfully effective to date.
I thank you all in advance
Hello! Welcome to the discussion forum. I am please to make your acquaintance, but sorry for the circumstance. Enbrel has been very effective for me as well. I look forward to getting to know you and yes, I look forward to your assistance.

Best wishes and cheers, Shug
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Is this the main board. My friends daughter has been helping me set up, teaching me to "trawl" as she calls it. She thinks this is where everyone meets together as the other topics on the site are not as populated.
I am over awed by the information I can get on here. Well done on such a great site.
Welcome! You are in the right place! Look forward to learning more about you.

Hello, everybody has awesome names. I would love to be RA free but until that time I will look forward.

I keep clicking on items and end up somewhere else on here, hopefully I will keep track of what I am doing.
Thank you WanttobeRAfree for your welcome.
I am married with 1 son who lives in Arizona. I have not had the pleasure of travelling to see his new home yet, he relocated last week. I live in Lansing MI, this too has been for a short time although my husband was born here so this is where we have retired to.Before this our family had been living in Florida. The weather there was so unkind to my RA so this move has been good so far. I like to cook , especially baking and I read a lot .
I have 3 dogs that are hating the move but I am sure they will settle down real soon.

Hi Kalamazoo!  Welcome!
CathyJust wanted to say welcome.Welcome Kalamazoo! Sorry you had to find us but sounds like you are a pro at dealing with RA. Lots of good information and support here. I'm actually planning a trip to Michigan next summer with my sister - can't remember the name of the town she rented a place in - up north near the peninsula but not on it - nice resort town. I'm in Vancouver, WA, just north of Portland, OR, so it will be a long drive but I told her I'd make it with her. Just an adventure and fun for us to take the trip. Let us know how you are doing and what we can do to help!I'll just add my wee little welcome to the board Kalamazoo.
I hope that you can find comfort in the information and friends that you make.
Hi and welcome to AI. Life sounds busy for you at the moment and as for getting lost on the boards it wont take long before you find your way around.
take care
Lisa
Hello and welcome, Kalamazoo!! I hope you're having a great Halloween morning. There's a lot of information on the boards, but it seems the RA forum is usually the one with the most chatter. I'm sure you'll find some new friends and have lots of helpful advice to share having dealt with this wonderfulWelcome Kalamazoo!  I've been on Enbrel for almost two years now and I found  it works extremely well for me too.   Looking forward to learning more about you.Hi and welcome.
I too have had RA for appx 35 years.
I triend Enrel but Humira better for me with out the headache I always got with EmbrelWelcome, fellow Michigander! I am in a little town near Battle Creek. Will you get a doc in Lansing? My rheumy is in Kalamazoo and I like him a lot.
Sorry about your flare after so many years of quiet. This board will be very helpful to you as you learn about the disease and what changes have been made in treatment.
