Mean people | Arthritis Information

There are some very mean and nasty people on this board. I just wanted to say that. While you are so busy pointing fingers take a look at the 3 fingers pointing back at you.

Isn't it amazing how on the internet people can be so brave and say mean and spiteful things and not think a moment about it. Do you do this in real life? Do you go up to your friends and coworkers and treat them this way?

If you don't like someone then ignore them. Please!

I'm pretty sure that most of the people who get carried away with anger in their posts are the same way in their everyday lives.

Although I don't advertise my feelings with bumperstickers I have always related to the one that says Mean People Suck. Plain, simple, true.

Well said Farmerswife.   Please stop bickering, it's the RA that we need to fight not each other....
Knowing that the same sentiment has been posted more than once does not deter me from quoting Mohandas Gandhi, Be the change that you want to see in the world.

If you find that people are mean and nasty on this discussion forum, create a post to divert others attention to more constructive interactions. If you find bickering, create a new topic wherein folks can discuss and debate without pettiness. If you find me spiteful or non-thinking post something that will take the focus away from me and generate positive, thinking, and informative conversation. If RA must/needs to be the focus then post about RA, its course, its treatment: tell us how you accommodate your illness, the tricks you use to make activities of daily living easier or more efficient. There are quite literally endless ways to be the change you want to see on this forum. I have not been a member for long, however I can say without hesitation and without apology, that chiding the members, especially those you find mean and nasty, accomplishes very little that is positive, informative, and/or laudable.

couldn't have said it better myselfI myself will not be on line alot for a month or so. Just that my children will be visiting and they tend to use the computer alot. So I will check up on everyone but my post will sparatic. The spare is out of commision. Just to say it is not because of others that you may think I am not on line. The joys of an unmoderated messageboard.  It's not for the faint of heart.
Perfect example of "mean people":

[QUOTE=joonie]Hey Phat-ass Phats ...

I was not coming back to post on here ever again. But like it was pointed out me that ya'll just wanted me to come back and post so you can prove you were right. SO with this post I am enlightning ya'll.

As far as Teed knew and everyone else I PMed a few days ago, I was not posting on here ever again, and after tonight I still am not posting on here ever again.

I was just not going to let someone bring me into a conversation that I had no reason to be in. As I have not even bothered that person since she has left and I sure in the hell am not stalking her skanky tube top wearing ass either. I posted to let her know if she does have info on me that it is not me and she will be harassing someone who is not me. As I did not go to her creepy dolly forum. I could careless about her and her skanky self. Oh and to let her post the info on me that she says she has and to let her know that one person on here can confirm if what information she has on me is me, because that person has my name and mailing address. So... post away AUDS!

I have found another board to be a part of and I have told all that I have considered my friends on here where I was and will be.

Now, fare well. tah-tah. buh-bye now.

Been there, done that, nothing works.  I even tried the '3 fingers pointing back at you' with negative results.  Tried the 'when you look in the mirror what do you see?'  No results except more ridicule so I reverted to their means.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander I figure.  They follow you around like flies.  One step in the wrong direction and they will be all over you too.  Watch your back is the only thing I can advise you to do.
TeedOff2009-11-02 22:09:51Oh please don't hold yourself blameless.  You're always right in the middle of it. Another Puritan heard from.  What makes it so hard for you to stay out of something that is none of your business? Because YOU made it PUBLIC when you wrote it in this forum.  She can post whatever she wants dumbass, whether you like it or not.

Thou does protest too much.  My point exactly...but you cannot make a post without the potty mouth.
Lisa, why don't you get back to that other thread where you have been found to be the trouble maker.... Are these people mean or just plain ignorant??!!
