introducing myself | Arthritis Information

Hello...just wanted to take the time to introduce myself.  I used to post here a few years ago and have just recently returned.  I am 34, female and have RA.  I was so fortunate to stumble onto this website when I was first diagnosed.  I don't think I could have made it through those really rough years without the love and support of everyone here.  I have an AWESOME husband and 11 year old daughter, however, just being able to talk to people here that walk in my shoes is life saving.  I have had my ups and downs over the past few years, but recently I have been in a big funk.  I can no longer take any anti inflammatories because they constantly increase my liver enzymes.  Now, I have had to get off my Remicade and Mtx due to increased liver enzymes.  I am trying so hard to not get myself down over this and think of it as just another bump in the road, however it gets harder and harder with every day.  I go back in a couple of weeks to get my lab work done again, so we'll see!  I am so glad that I have come back to everyone here.  I haven't posted much, but I feel like I know everyone, just by reading all the posts.

Here's a big hug to all of you....

You and I are the same age. I recently join the group here and another one I found. This has brought me so much joy to come here and listen and share expereinces the way we do. I too have a fantastic husband; two children and two step children all of which are very supportive but they just don't understand my ups and down the way every one here does despite their well intended efforts to try.

I feel for you right now with your medication problems. I take MTX and Humira and it's finally working!! I don't know how I'd take the news if they told me I'd have to stop. I feel like after years of trial and error we're finally doing something right.

I hope everything works out for you. Keep your chin up. Things have a way of turing around quickly....stay positive.

AND: Welcome to you as well Bobbie. This is a great place to make new friends. I'll look forward to talking to you both more in the future.
