but, she is performing in Canada
lol
lol..no...I can't see myself spending the money it takes to a concert these days...although, if it was someone I really enjoyed, then I might.oh ok lol yeah concerts r sorta expensivish Have you ever seen her interviewed?  She's weird but I think it's all just part of the act.  Kel, if you're old, I'm there with ya.  My first concert was Kiss and CheapTrick! And I went with Mark Williams who happened to be the cutest/coolest boy in the whole school :)

Oh I love CheapTrick!

My first concert was SupertrampBet that was a good show.  I loved themI am so old I still haven't seen a live show.  I could have gone to Billy Idol but I probably would have been trampled to death.
I am so old I still haven't seen a live show.  I could have gone to Billy Idol but I probably would have been trampled to death.
u never saw a live show?
ETA: wow lol

but thats ok i guess
StarPerson1212009-11-10 18:46:00Oh it was...but a bunch of people(on the outside of the stadium) got out of hand and broke down a fence to try to get in. There were at least 100 of them..police were involved..etc..but still had a great time.I did go to a Willy Nelson concert a looong time ago.  People all around us were smoking pot and all we had to do was inhale.  LOL  I am not fond of Willie, it was just something to do. No Star...Just never seemed to come around when I was young.  Elvis came to Vancouver but I didn't even know about it.  Mind you, he was not a favorite of mine anyway.  Love Bryan Adams and few others but too lazy to go to Spokane.
I love Lady GaGa's CDs.  In fact I have her last one; very talented woman.  Not sure I could handle one of her concerts though.  Last concert I went to was last month, Chris Issaks.  LYay Chris Issaks.  The other band I like was Loverboy.OMG Teed, loved Loverboy!!!  Also, was a Billy Idol fan.  My first concert was the Rolling Stones in a small club in Washington, D.C. I think in 1962 or 63, before they became superstars. I wasn't 18 and a group of us had to lie and sneak into the club.  My friends were 18 but I wasn't.  Lindy Wow Lin, that is very kewl. I have never seen them but would love to.

Lori, if you get the chance go see them.  I've been to a lot of concerts but that was the best one I've ever attended because it was in a club and not a huge stadium or concert hall.  Wish I could remember the name of the club but I can't.  Hell, I can barely remember what I had for lunch!  Stan and I try and go to a concert or at least to a jazz or blues club every couple of months, helps to keep us young.  Sometimes RA makes me feel much older than I am.  Lindy

Wow I like a lot of the bands you all mentioned. I have seen most mentioned  ( Rolling Stones, Loverboy, Cheaptrick ) saw Paul McCartney last time around. Seeing live music , whether it's a local pub or the big stage is very refreshing to say the least. Saw the Glenn Miller band last week. First time ever seiing a " Big band " One of the best I ever saw was Eagles. And I'm not much on country music but I absolutely loved seeing Garth Brooks. I would see him again in a minute and am so glad he has come out of retirement. Elton John came to our town last year and it was the worst concert I have seen and mostly because the sound was so bad.Lori, I saw the Eagles when they came back together about 5 years ago and that was a concert that I'll never forget.  It was the first concert of the tour and the energy was beyond belief.  65, I'm addicted to attending live music events, doesn't matter where.  Lindy LinB2009-11-11 10:45:29The first 2 concerts I saw were Loverboy and Bryan Adams. Bryan Adams lost his vocal ability about half way through. I guess that sexy rasp was kinda hard on the ol' cords!
The last concert I saw was in september. My husband got Killers tix for my 40th. They were unbelievable!!!
I love going to live shows. We don't hit the movies often, but whenever a band I like comes into town, we try to see them. I justify it by saying we are using the money that we would of spent on the movies... (but i've probably already spent that money on itunes... I try not to think about that...)The first concert i ever saw was Rod Stewart and that was.....too many years ago, then the osmonds..also too many years ago... i saw them again a few years ago for their 50th anniversary tour. We recently went to see 80'S ICONS Spandau Ballet in London but in between we also saw the Eagles, they were soooo good. Kel my hubby would love to have seen Supertramp...they are his favourites.
Tina Tuner was good and Kings of Leon are brilliant.I watched some Lady Gaga videos on youtube earlier. She's a freak... and I LOVE it!! LOL

I used to go to Edgefest each year while I was living in Dallas (all day musical event, multiple stages). One of my favorite perfomances was Billy Idol. I was so excited to see him up there in his red leather pants!! And I had to tell the kids next to me to go home... they had NO CLUE who he was! WHAT?!?
I can't get into her but I suspect my parents were much into my favorite groups and singers either when I was 14LOL - when I was 14 I was a huge fan of the British New Wave Invasion - Eurythmics, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, etc... and yep, my parents thought they were a bunch of freaks. I love Kings of Leon and would also love to see them. They come from quite an interesting background. Wikapedia them, interesting.I loved the Eurythmics jas, we saw Annie Lennox not so long ago. not in concert but shopping..lol
I liked yazoo too
