Hi all,

I have a question

Anyway, he stresses that a good night sleep

That's all for now; can you tell I love 'smilies'?????

Hopalong

Dear Hopalong, Before being diagnosed in Dec 2006 i had over many years lower back pain so i thought that the leg problems that were starting were an extension of this. Anyway i got a new mattress it is the best ever. It is sort of like a thick or solid latex but the brand name is Tempur. From the night i got it I stopped tossing and turning. ( apart from the odd night) It is heaven. When my legs get really bad I sometimes lie on my stomach and put heat packs on them which also helps and then I sleep. I do not go to sleep as easily as I used to and I am not sure if this is the prednisone or the oroxine but to be on my bed is heaven. It helps enormously and I also do 2 classes of Iyengar Yoga a week and this also stretches everything and i feel if we can keep those muscles as flexible as possible it must help the pain and restlessness.Good luck Peaches

Thanks, Peaches!

I know exercise is important, and one of those things I cringe at. However, I do do a lot a walking, and feel that helps.......my husband would give me the 'stink eye'

Does anyone have 'sleep number' bed? I think I'll try one of  those memory pillows, also, to keep my neck in place.

Hopalong

Dear Hopalong Tempur also make pillows of different shapes and sizes. I love mine and it helps enormously. The brand was developed in the states for NASA 20  years ago but I think the technology is awesome. It moulds to you. Peaches

Peaches,

Where did you buy your pillows? How are they different from the others that mold to ones body? Just wondering since there are so many of them out there, if there is a big difference in the material that is used to make them. And do you mind if I ask how much you paid for them (in US dollars?...maybe your dollars are the same?)

Thanks,

Hopalong

This product was developed in the States. It was 0 aus. I have had other moulded pillows but this is like you talk about ; it has memory. You probably have others like it. I do not know if i would have benefited as much without the mattress as well .I know you do not want to buy another mattress but it would be worth going to some big bedding places, finding this brand and lying on it and trying the pillows as well. Take a friend because you need to lie on it for about 15 mins while it moulds and takes all the pressure off all the sore bits.

Peaches

Peaches,

Thanks for all of the information!

Smiles thanks again,

hopalong
