timing of pain relief | Arthritis Information

Yesterday (4th day of 15mg predsisone) I took the 15 mg at 7AM and experienced almost complete pain relief in 3 hrs.

Today took it at 5 AM-stayed in bed until 7AM and it is now 11 AM and the relief is not as good as yesterday.
My question is does the degree of relief fluctuate from day to day at the same dose?
I wonder if I might need 20 mg or am I getting impatient?
My fear is that the higher the dose initially the harder it will be to get down on the dose later.
TIA
I find that if I have been too active the previous day, my PMR flares just a bit the next morning on the same dosage. You may want to keep the dosage the same and just keep track of your activities and what you eat.

There seems to be a lot of variables to dosage, time, and outside influences on this malady such as diet. If 15 mg in the morning has worked before, I would think that there is something else contributing to your pain.

Also, the more I move in the morning, just slow quiet movements as much as possible with my arms and legs, the better I CAN move and the pain decreases. Seems so strange to say it, but moving and walking has helped reduce my morning pain.

Hope that helps.
Take care.
