I am looking for some good shoe brands that are easy on arthritic feet and hands. I find that I love stretchy, wide and little to no laces... any good recommendations!?

I've given up on cute... I need comfortable!

Thanks!
Keens, the most comfortable on the market, spendy, but worth every dime.I like MBT's but they definitely take some getting used to.  They change the way your feet and legs move.  And they're also $$$. Jas, I wear my MBTs to work, love them but you are right, do take some getting used to. what part of MBT's take getting use to?   the balance part for me babs. I feel I'm off balance in them at times. Also, you use muscles that you are not used to using, especially the butt muscles. The gluts tend to firm up with the use of these shoes. But, my back quit hurting at work which was my goal.are these like the old exersoles??  adding.. the heel is lower than the toe?yes, sort of. the whole sole is curved so you can rock back and forth on them. kind of like an air cast.ok.. i found them....   http://us.mbt.com/Exercises/First-Steps.aspx
I am not sure their "snug" fit around the ankles and heels wouldn't hurt.. how is that for you all??? I have swelling from my ankles to my toes. Some days usually do to muscle spasms I could not get my foot into a shoe that was four sizes to big. I am considering getting a very large pair of something flat and comfy for the winter. Yes I am going from comfy to clown shoes I guess. Style has far gone out the window.

It is the whole idea of closed toe shoes that my feet are against. I have alot of comfy and cute shoes. Still can not always ware them?
one man's comfortable shoe is another's torture...seek out specialty stores and try on different brands.  Have your feet meticulously measured (frankly running shoe stores are the best at this).  In the long run shoes that provide support will be far more comfortable than soft slipper like shoes.  Unlike some other products, with shoes, you get what you pay for.  Don't save money on your shoes buy the best pair you can affordI've found that Clark's Privos are very comfortable. I have a couple pairs of these and they are the best thing I've found for my achy feet. I got the insoles from the foot doctor last year, arch supports could not think of the word for a minute. LOL I just fall over. I can not balance myself at all. I have some pretty stiff feet. It helps me if I take a muscle relaxer at night. Then my chances of putting my shoes on are greatly increased. If I forget or fall asleep without the flexeril I am probably not going shopping the next day. I spent more money on shoes this year than any other part of my wordrobe. Lots of choices but somedays none of them work.

I think Skecher's came out with a cheap version of these shoes.

What I'm wondering is if this doesn't stretch the tendon in the foot too much, thus aggravating tendinitis?

But someone already said it before........one man's godsend is one man's hell.
MBT's are very good, pricey but worth it.  I have a pair of tennis and 2 pair of mary jane's.  They are not fashionable but at least I can walk in them with minimal pain.no they don't stretch the tendons, that is where my problem is.  they are very comfortable.MBT's are actually pretty loose fitting around the ankles., I'm gonna have to check out the link for MBTs. For me, I've found a pair of NewBalance shoes (one size and a half too big) that are extremely comfortable if we're going to spend the day running errands. The joints at the bottoms of my toes as well as the feet tend to swell after walking too much. Going too big seems to alleviate that problem. It's probably not the best idea to have ill-fitting shoes, but, hey, it works for me!  I'm a Birkenstock fan -- pricey, for sure -- but so comfortable! I'm about to order the green and purple clogs.I have been wearing Easy Spirt they are the only shoulds I can wear to accommodate my bunion on my left foot.  I be curious to try the MBT's I wonder would they help me with my balance.  Right now I am putting pressure on my outside of my feet and I'm getting calusus. They hurt so much I know I'm not walking right anymore due to my feet being unstable which has set my hips off and my back.  I'll have to check out those MBT's and see how they feel  thanks.

It's a bit depressing as all the women at work wear gorgeous shoes and I am in big clunckers.  It too get swollen feet and ankles.  My right side is always worse than my left (whole body is like that)
