Has anyone done this? If so, have you noticed any side effects from the Enbrel? I switched in June and ever since then I've had watery eyes (nothing seems to help them), and I'm getting sick a lot easier. I'll watch this as I was told that if Humira does not work then we can try Embrel
I was ok with Enbrel at first, but about a year or so into it I started developing Lupus-like symptoms and had to stop the med. I don't remember having watery eyes. The drug suppresses your immune system which might explain you getting sicker more often. Definitely tell your RD though. You may need to stop the Enbrel while they treat your infection. I also tried Humira but it was short-lived due to abdominal discomfort and cysts so I really don't have any personal info on that one. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
Kathy, I have gone from Enbrel>Humira>Enbrel>Humira... Thanks! I didn't have any side effects with Humira and I was rarely sick while being on it. I was off of Enbrel due to an infection for 2 weeks, and now since being back on it, my watery eyes are worse again.
